From Drag and Drop to Click and Swap

Our web app, just like many others, has a customisable dashboard where our users can freely place the widgets they're interested in. Layout can become fully personalised through Drag and Drop. But Drag and Drop is also a very frustrating system and the whole experience wasn't smooth to anyone.

Our product trio (PM + UX + Dev) collaborated closely with users and started to rethink it from scratch, coming up with our own alternative to Drag and Drop: Click and Swap.
