IRSN - Cerveaux

10 minutes

The aim of this work is to offer a methodological framework, accompanying the making of a computer pipeline devoted to process Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI), in order to generate useful outputs for studying the effects of radiotherapy on patients affected by brain tumors. More in detail, high-grade glioma treatment with radiotherapy are considered. Patients belonging to a given cohort, build within the collaborative project EpiBrainRad driven by IRSN, are submitted to a longitudinal study, the inputs of which are the radiological doses emissions to which they are submitted, driven by various covariates as mental effects. Among these covariates measured through time are cerebral atrophy and white matter intensity. The present document is focused on producing informative indicators on how these biomarkers change over time. It should ideally feed an dose-response study to be conducted by IRSN at various scales within brains.
